About ESMe
Shear Edge NYC is led by Esme, a dual-licensed cosmetologist and barber with more than 20 years of experience in the beauty industry.
Her career began with training at Aveda Prestige Beauty School, where she developed her foundation in cosmetology. She later expanded her professional expertise through barbering and advanced hair and scalp specialties.
Esme also has experience with scalp micropigmentation (SMP), hair units, toupees, and non-surgical hair restoration systems.
Her background in cosmetology and barbering gives her a broader perspective on men’s hair. She combines the technical structure of barbering with the shape, movement, texture, and detail associated with salon-style hairdressing.

From 5th avenue, on even side of 48th st. Pass Citi Bank, pass bakery, on your left. Come into the building, pass the doorman. Continue down the hall way to the elevator on the right, 3rd Floor, Call Esme to let her know you are there.
Appointment Cancellation Policy
- We have a 10 minute time allowance for all appointments.
- To ensure all clients are seen in there scheduled time.
- After ten minutes, we will need to reschedule your appointment, and a fee of 50% of your original service will be charged to the card on file.
- CANCELLATION/ NO-SHOW POLICY: We request that you reschedule or cancel, at least 2 hours prior to your appointment time.
- Failure to do so will result in the full service fee being applied.
